Job Title: Mechatronics EngineerJob Description

Lead the design and assembly of custom machinery and packaging equipment using SolidWorks. Develop and implement robotic solutions with a strong emphasis on FANUC and Universal Robotics platforms. Ensure projects are executed from design to assembly, testing, and optimization. Engage in backend testing to validate machine functionality and resolve issues. Interface with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction. Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Design and assemble custom machinery and packaging equipment using SolidWorks.

+ Develop and implement robotic solutions, focusing on FANUC and Universal Robotics platforms.

+ Ensure thorough execution of projects from design through assembly and testing.

+ Participate in backend testing to validate machine functionality and resolve any issues.

+ Interface with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates.

+ Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to meet timelines and quality standards.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in SolidWorks and robotic programming (FANUC and Universal).

+ 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and automation.

+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

+ Demonstrated ability to take initiative and anticipate project needs.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior experience in customer-facing roles is a plus.

+ Demonstrated follow-through from design to build and test phases.

This is an office-based engineering role with time split between desk work for design programming and shop floor activities for troubleshooting machines and equipment post-assembly. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29/hr.
