    Tax Manager

    **Location:** Onsite – Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

    **Salary:** Up to $150K + bonus

    **Employment Type:** Full-time

     

    About the Role

     

    We are seeking an experienced and well-rounded **Tax Manager** to lead a team of skilled tax professionals and deliver high-quality service to a diverse client base. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of client service.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and supervise a team of 3–4 tax accountants, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

    + Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for small businesses, individuals, nonprofits, and benefit plans.

    + Conduct tax planning and consulting engagements for clients to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance.

    + Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, ensuring timely implementation of changes.

    + Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and clear communication.

    + Assist in managing workflow and deadlines, especially during peak tax seasons.

    + Utilize tax software and accounting systems to ensure accurate and efficient work processes.

    Qualifications

    + CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    + Minimum **5+ years** of experience in tax preparation, or **3+ years** in a tax management role.

    + Experience with a wide range of client types, including small businesses, individuals, nonprofits, and benefit plans.

    + Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx, Accounting CS, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
