The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) seeks a detail-oriented, collaborative, and strategic professional to serve as the Maine Cyber Range Project Manager. This position supports the strategic and operational functions of UMA’s Maine Cyber Range and broader cybersecurity initiatives. The Project Manager oversees externally funded research grants and contracts, ensures compliance and reporting, and coordinates cross-functional communication to advance UMA’s leadership in cybersecurity education and workforce development. The role is essential for maintaining grant integrity, supporting faculty and staff collaboration, and ensuring the successful execution of cybersecurity-related training, education, and research programs.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, education, cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in project or grants management.
• Minimum of one year of teaching or training experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal grant systems such as Research.gov, WIPS, and PMS.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with cyber range platforms (e.g., SimSpace, Immersive Labs, Cyberbit).
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in cybersecurity, public administration, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
• Experience supporting STEM or cybersecurity-related research projects and grants.
• Experience using content creation software (e.g., Camtasia).

Salary: The normal hiring salary range for this position is in the low $50,00’s and is commensurate with training, education, and experience and will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion.
