Pressure Vessel Engineer – Kennerdell, PA
Salary: $130K + Competitive Benefits (Health, PTO, 401k)
Join a leading engineering team as a **Pressure Vessel Engineer** in Kennerdell, PA. This hands-on role focuses on the design, drafting, and engineering of pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks in compliance with ASME, API, AWWA, and NFPA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform and review engineering calculations for pressure vessels and storage tanks
+ Create design drawings, 3D models, and fabrication packages using AutoCAD and Inventor
+ Develop and review fabrication procedures to ensure code and spec compliance
+ Provide technical guidance to engineers, drafters, and fabrication teams
+ Interface with clients, inspectors, and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance
+ Support field crews with design clarifications and troubleshooting
+ Stay current with industry codes and best practices
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)
+ PE license preferred
+ 5+ years of experience in pressure vessel or tank design
+ Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650/653/620, AWWA D100, NFPA
+ Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MathCAD (or equivalent)
+ Excellent analytical and communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Attributes:
+ Experience with 3D CAD workflows, TechnoSoft, and parametric design tools
+ Familiarity with fabrication processes and shop operations
+ Detail-oriented with a commitment to code-compliant design
