Job Title: Linen Worker
Job Description
As a Linen Worker, you will be responsible for distributing linens throughout the hospital. You will oversee several floors, ensuring that all clean linens are properly placed in their designated spots. The role requires navigating bins that weigh approximately 50 pounds throughout the facility. Interaction will be limited to nursing staff, and there will be no need to enter patient rooms.
Responsibilities
+ Distribute linens throughout the hospital.
+ Manage linen inventory across different floors.
+ Ensure clean linens are organized and placed correctly.
+ Navigate 50-pound bins safely throughout the hospital.
+ Interact with nursing staff for linen needs and inventory updates.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in janitorial, general labor, or housekeeping roles.
+ Strong material handling abilities.
+ Reliable attendance and eagerness to learn.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Understanding of warehouse associate duties.
+ Compliance with hospital policy regarding personal grooming (short nails and no acrylic nails).

Work Environment
This position is based onsite at VCU hospital. You will work at the VCU Main Campus with a schedule from 11am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday, and one weekend a month from 6am to 2:30pm. Upon starting, you will receive five blue scrub uniforms and may wear sneakers. The role includes an initial orientation session before starting your duties at the hospital.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
