    Job Title: Truss Builder

     

    The individual will be responsible for taking pre-cut wood/lumber and placing it on a large table. The table is equipped with a laser that dictates the placement of wood. The individual will piece together trusses over the table, much like assembling a puzzle, and hammer in metal plates over designated areas to assemble the truss.

    Responsibilities

    + Take pre-cut wood/lumber and place it on a large table with laser-guided placement.

    + Assemble trusses by piecing together wood and hammering metal plates over designated areas.

    + Work in various positions in the building of trusses within a production facility.

    + Manually pull lumber orders using pallet jacks.

    + Load lumber onto conveyor systems.

    + Load, operate, and offload machinery.

    + Assemble wood trusses using staple guns, hammers, and brackets.

    + Stage completed work in the yard, ready for forklifts.

    Essential Skills

    + Truss building experience (minimum of 6 months required).

    + Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

    + Ability to read basic measurements using a standard tape measure.

    + Proficiency in speaking and understanding English.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Possession of a 22 oz hammer, preferably wood for ease on the hand.

    + Ownership of rain gear.

    + Leather boots that cover the ankle (steel toe not required).

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
