    2nd Shift Polisher

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Polisher in a large sink faucet manufacturing facility located in Santa Ana. We are seeking dedicated individuals for the 2nd Shift (2pm – 10:30pm) with competitive pay and a shift differential. As a Polisher I, you will be responsible for grinding, sanding, and polishing metal objects using various machines and tools to ensure smooth surfaces and product quality.

    Responsibilities

    + Grind, sand, and polish designated components.

    + Prepare component surfaces for further finishing.

    + Identify defects or mark cracks and splits for repair.

    + Polish and grind components according to specifications.

    + Adjust, start, or stop equipment during the grinding/polishing process.

    + Trim and scrape components using chisels and scrapers to smooth products.

    + Clean and replace components and tooling in the polishing area.

    + Inspect components before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met.

    + Remove and report any non-conformant material to Quality or Lead personnel.

    + Remove completed components and place them in appropriate containers.

    + Change wheels or sanding equipment when needed.

    + Maintain specifications and adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.

    + Perform housekeeping activities in the designated work area.

    + Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in sanding, deburring, polishing, and general production.

    + Ability to work with power tools.

    + At least 1 year of experience in a production environment is required.

    + Experience with high-end metal polishing is preferred.

    + Ability to set up and operate polishing equipment.

    + Ability to manipulate wheel/components using proper pressure and duration to obtain the desired polish.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    + Ability to use a computer to review drawings and blueprints.

    + Mechanical aptitude is desired.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Extreme regard for safety.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a production environment that requires standing most of the time. The use of a dust mask is necessary, and the environment has a moderate heat level. Requires the use of hearing, feet, and eye protection. The 2nd Shift offers a pay rate of $18/hr with an additional $1 shift differential, operating from 2pm to 10:30pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
