Position Summary The Cook prepares high-quality food items for guests at Nine & Vine while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment. This position plays an essential role in creating a consistent, enjoyable dining experience for guests through attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for food service excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times. Assist in receiving, rotating, and storing food and beverage products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, prep areas, and equipment. Work closely with bartenders and service staff to ensure timely and accurate food orders. Monitor food portions, waste, and quality to reduce costs and maintain standards. Support special events and functions as directed. Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates to maintain smooth operations. Perform opening and closing duties as assigned. Minimum six months of experience in food preparation or kitchen operations preferred. Food Handler’s Card required (or ability to obtain upon hire). Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Work Environment The work environment is a fast-paced kitchen setting with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to heat. Rate: $20.00/hour
