    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator responsible for setting up and operating sheet metal brake presses and tube benders. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards and involves forming various parts by following part prints and using different measuring devices.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and form various metal components of different sizes and metal types.

    + Understand and implement different tooling configurations with limited guidance.

    + Follow part prints and utilize measuring devices for precision.

    + Operate sheet metal brake presses and tube benders safely and efficiently.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field.

    + Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices for electrical work.

    + Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and efficiency.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of pressure testing procedures, leak detection methods, and chiller systems is a plus.

    + Experience with PLC wiring and troubleshooting preferred, but not required.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large plant environment that is non-temperature controlled. Employees are expected to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop as needed. Various shift options are available, including A-Shift (6a-6p Friday-Sunday), B-Shift (6p-6a Friday-Sunday), and 2nd Shift (3p-11p Monday-Friday).

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $26.14/hr.
