Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support our Operations and Manufacturing Engineering department. This role involves creating and supporting procedures and process documents, assisting in product development and evaluation, and ensuring high-quality process development for our products and components.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and support procedures and process documents for Operations.
+ Assist Manufacturing Engineering department in executing development and product evaluation activities.
+ Create product test plans, procedures, and reports with guidance.
+ Assist with process validation test programs to ensure products/systems meet design specifications.
+ Act as a resource for operations to explain drawing and process requirements.
+ Support equipment maintenance team with advanced diagnostics.
+ Perform analysis and troubleshooting to determine root causes of product and equipment failures.
+ Select and procure tooling and equipment following purchase requisition and approval processes.
+ Assist with welding and brazing development and qualification.
+ Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
+ Other responsibilities as assigned.
+ Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in troubleshooting and process improvement.
+ Experience with equipment validation.
+ Knowledge of aws, j standard, and ipc 610.
+ Ability to create corrective action plans and conduct engineering analysis.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician.
+ High school diploma required; BA/BS preferred for leadership roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in English for reading and communication.
+ Enrollment in a Drug/Alcohol Program.
+ Understanding of FAA regulations in a repair station environment.

Work Environment
This position operates on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with optional overtime up to 10% per year based on production needs. The work environment is a manufacturing setting, occasionally loud, requiring safety glasses and steel toe shoes (provided on the first day). The role is part of an FAA-governed repair station, and attendance is highly valued, with tenure being an important consideration.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
