Job Title: Electronics Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair of electronic equipment, basic testing, board repair, and assembly of electrical devices. You must have the ability to work from detailed instructions and conform to strict quality assurance guidelines. Your tasks will also include using hand and power tools, testing electrical devices, and performing administrative and reporting tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Repair electronic equipment and perform basic testing and board repair.
+ Assemble electrical devices using hand and power tools.
+ Conduct testing of electrical devices.
+ Perform administrative and reporting tasks as assigned.
+ Conduct manual rework as needed.
+ Handle other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Associate Degree in Electronics, preferred.
+ 3-5 years of technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
+ Certification in soldering, preferred.
+ Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7.
+ Understanding of digital and analog electronic circuitry.
+ Working knowledge of IPC workmanship and soldering standards.
+ Proficiency with Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Crimping, and Power Supplies.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation.
+ Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving techniques, and accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with electronics, schematic analysis, mechanical assembly, wiring, and blueprint reading.
+ Familiarity with electronics testing and circuit board work.

Work Environment
This position offers a climate-controlled work environment with a shift schedule from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm. The role involves primarily sit-down work, providing a comfortable and efficient setting for completing tasks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
