Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will manage essential accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice handling and payment operations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a strong background in financial administration.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies.

• Perform regular check runs to manage timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

• Verify and reconcile vendor statements to address discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

• Handle the coding of invoices to appropriate accounts and cost centers.

• Manage invoice processing workflows to ensure deadlines are met.

• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues or discrepancies.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to financial protocols.

• Generate reports related to accounts payable activities for internal review. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Proficiency in coding invoices and managing invoice workflows.

• Familiarity with check runs and payment processing procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.

• Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.

• Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
