Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating and managing plasma cutting machines, focusing on uploading code and ensuring smooth operation. You will work on either the first or second shift, with the opportunity to train on the first shift for at least one week.

Responsibilities

+ Operate plasma cutting machines by uploading code and initiating the cutting process.

+ Work with various conductive materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper.

+ Manage industrial bandsaw tables and run metals through machinery for cutting purposes.

+ Consistently lift 50+ lbs as part of the operational duties.

+ Be open to running and moving other shop machinery, including the plasma table and CNC laser.

Essential Skills

+ At least 1 year of laser cutting experience.

+ General fabrication skills.

+ Ability to operate an industrial bandsaw.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

+ Experience with materials such as A36, T-1A, 50-K, 80-K, 3/16, and 1/2.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in welding and machining.

+ Familiarity with machine operation and saw operation.

+ Ability to work with raw materials and perform assembly tasks.

Work Environment

The role is based in a fabrication shop where you will work with heavy industrial products. Safety gear such as hoods or gloves is not required since you will not be performing physical fabricating or welding. You will enjoy a dynamic environment with opportunities to work on different machinery and shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLATHE, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
