    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing espresso orders for customers and catering, using standard measures and recipes. You will ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the service area, maintaining proper presentation and portion control, and following HACCP standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare espresso and coffee beverages following standard recipes.

    + Enter orders accurately into the POS device and handle cash and charge payments.

    + Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness.

    + Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.

    + Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.

    + Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area.

    + Greet customers courteously and ensure customer satisfaction.

    + Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.

    + Serve customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays.

    + Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and explain them to customers.

    + Serve as an advocate of selling techniques by establishing good communication.

    + Ensure all display foods are attractively merchandised per standards.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to prepare and serve coffee/espresso drinks and related food items.

    + Understanding of HACCP guidelines and quality food-service operations.

    + Experience in assembly, general labor, food preparation, picking, and packing.

    + Line cook and food handling skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excellent presentation and customer service skills.

    + Good communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.

    + Positive and enthusiastic approach to assignments.

    + Cheerful and helpful demeanor when dealing with customers.

    + Physical ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 45 lbs.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a bustling coffee shop setting during the 1st shift from 7 AM to 4 PM. Enjoy a regular schedule with no weekend or holiday shifts. The environment promotes teamwork and customer interaction, ensuring a vibrant and engaging workplace.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, Delaware.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
