    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    + Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers in physical and virtualized environments.

    + Administer user accounts, group policies, and permissions through Active Directory, Azure AD, and related identity management tools.

    + Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; implement improvements to optimize uptime and efficiency.

    + Manage enterprise backups, recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.

    + Perform patch management, software updates, and vulnerability remediation across all systems.

    + Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, and other enterprise productivity tools.

    + Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN configurations, in coordination with network engineers.

    + Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.

    + Implement and enforce IT security policies, access controls, and compliance requirements.

    + Respond to and resolve escalated service desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.

    + Participate in planning and execution of IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

    + Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO, SOC2).

    + Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Systems Administrator, VMware VCP, CompTIA Server+, or Azure Administrator Associate.

    + Familiarity with endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, JAMF).

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.

    + 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent technical role.

    + Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration and Active Directory management.

    + Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Azure Virtual Machines.

    + Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and task automation.

    + Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).

    + Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Datadog).

    + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
