Jacobs Engineering is looking for a driven and experienced Senior Utility Manager to lead utility coordination and relocation efforts for major infrastructure projects in the Denver region. As the Senior Utility Manager, you’ll be the strategic connector between project teams, utility owners, and regulatory agencies—ensuring utility systems are seamlessly integrated into complex project schedules and budgets. You’ll lead with vision, solve challenges with precision, and build relationships that drive results.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Utility Coordination Leadership: Manage relocation and design for water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecom systems. Serve as the primary liaison for clients and utility stakeholders.
* Strategic Execution: Develop and implement utility coordination plans that align with project scope, schedule, and budget—while proactively mitigating risks.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong partnerships with utility companies, regulatory agencies, and contractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
* Technical Oversight: Review and approve utility designs for constructability and efficiency, ensuring alignment with ASCE SUE standards and best practices.
* Team Leadership: Mentor and guide multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
* Quality & Risk Management: Ensure accuracy in design plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Identify potential conflicts and implement proactive solutions.
* Innovation & Growth: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, regulations, and trends in utility engineering and relocation.
* 8+ years of experience in utility engineering and project management, with a strong track record in utility relocation for large infrastructure projects
* Expertise in utility design standards and regulatory compliance
* Proven ability to manage complex schedules and budgets
* Strong leadership and communication skills
Ideally, you'll also have:
* Professional Engineer (PE) license
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
