Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in inspection, documentation, testing, quality control, and quality assurance. This role involves functional testing and requires proficiency in reading blueprints and diagrams. You will work with screws, hand tools, and be responsible for mechanical and electrical assembly.
Responsibilities
+ Perform functional and acceptance testing on final products and complete functional testing data sheets.
+ Use hand measurement gauges and test equipment to ensure product compliance.
+ Record first pass yield information and comments on inspection sheets and databases.
+ Report any quality or safety issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
+ Conduct light assembly and repairs as required.
+ Meet production standards and complete work in a timely manner.
+ Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences.
+ Ensure units are in compliance with the company's quality system.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with multi-meter, micrometer, dial indicator, caliper, and gauges.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Strong documentation skills and ability to write in English.
+ Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly.
+ Constant hand-tool usage.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds about 10-20% of the day.
+ Open to work 10-15 hours of overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in QC within an aerospace environment is a plus.
+ Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
+ Experience with ISO 9001 regulations is beneficial.

Work Environment
The work environment is very clean and follows strict ISO 9001 regulations. The assembly department comprises seven people, and the role requires standing for the majority of the day. The work hours are from 6 am to 3:30 pm in Addison, IL, with potential early starts and some Saturday work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
