    Aerospace QA Inspector

     

    Pay: $18-28/hour

     

    Shift: 6AM-4:30PM M-Th

    Job Description

    The primary role of the Quality Inspector is to inspect CNC machined parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with drawing requirements. Typical requirements to be verified include dimensions, surface finish, hardness, electrical conductivity, part marking, and appearance.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform in-process inspection of CNC parts and assemblies using manufacturing orders, part lists, drawings, specifications, and precision measuring instruments, including electronic devices.

    + Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to conduct inspections.

    + Reject and document nonconforming parts and materials.

    + Document work manually and enter data using computers.

    + Perform First Article inspections and generate reports.

    + Conduct hardness and conductivity testing.

    + Collaborate with teams to address corrective and preventive actions.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 1 year of experience in aerospace quality assurance inspection.

    + Ability to document work accurately both manually and on computer systems.

    + Proficient in using simple and complex inspection tools and test equipment, including calipers and micrometers.

    + Experience in performing in-process inspections of detail parts and assemblies.

    + Understanding of quality processes with strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to work effectively under pressure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

    + Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).

    + Optical inspection experience.

    + Experience in aerospace industry is required.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean machine shop located in the Sumner/Puyallup area with a headcount of around 46 and growing. Enjoy a four-day workweek, with shifts from Monday to Thursday, either 5:00 am to 3:30 pm or 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Puyallup, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
