Job Summary
A full-stack developer and quality leader who partners with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and excellence in software delivery. The Lead SDET architects scalable test automation solutions, ensures alignment with stakeholder requirements, and oversees testing strategies across security, performance, and functionality. This role provides technical leadership, sets quality standards, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
+ Architect and evolve test automation frameworks and strategies.
+ Develop quality artifacts across various automation testing types and tools.
+ Participate in the full software development lifecycle with development teams.
+ Execute and analyze test results, evaluate code, infrastructure, and architecture.
+ Provide recommendations for issue resolution.
+ Define and evolve testing strategies in alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals.
+ Guide junior SDETs and influence quality strategy across teams.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant technologies, tools, and business domains.
+ Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
+ Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Education
+ Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. (preferred)
Work Experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and test automation (required)
+ Proven experience in full-stack development and quality assurance (required)
Licenses and Certifications
+ ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager or equivalent certification (preferred)
+ Agile, Scrum, or project management (e.g., PMI-ACP, CSM) certifications (preferred)
Skills
+ Designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks across multiple testing types.
+ Applying development skills to ensure quality across front-end, back-end, and APIs.
+ Implementing and analyzing tests for system performance and security vulnerabilities.
+ Embedding automated testing into continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
+ Writing efficient, scalable code for test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).
+ Reviewing code for quality and promoting best practices across teams.
+ Guiding junior SDETs and influencing quality strategy across teams.
+ Diagnosing complex issues and recommending effective solutions.
+ Collaborating in Agile environments to align testing with iterative development.
+ Effectively conveying quality insights and working cross-functionally.

Physical Demands
+ General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000.00 - $146,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
