    As a Network Engineer with expertise in security processes, you will collaborate with designing, process requests for implementation, and maintain documentation for network infrastructures while ensuring strict compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between application architect, network design, and cybersecurity by collaborating with teams to navigate complex security frameworks and approval processes, ensuring that all network changes and deployments meet the highest security standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage documenting requirements for firewall rules, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other network security tools.

    + Ensure network solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

    + Document network configurations, security controls, and processes to maintain transparency and audit readiness with strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Visio, Power Point, draw.io and other comparable diagraming tools

    + Provide expertise and guidance during incident response and network forensic investigations.

    + Design, configure, and maintain secure network architecture diagrams aligned with organizational security policies to reflect new updates within an Interconnection Agreement.

    + Collaborate closely with cybersecurity and compliance teams to navigate security reviews, audits, and approval processes.

    + Identify potential security risks within network configurations and recommend mitigations.

    + Participate in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation efforts related to network infrastructure

    Qualifications:

    + Proven experience in network engineering with a focus on security compliance.

    + Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption, and network security technologies.

    + Familiarity with security standards and regulatory frameworks.

    + Experience with Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, draw.io and other comparable diagraming tools

    + Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, security, and compliance teams.

    + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    + Maintains knowledge of backup/recovery practices.

     

    Compensation Ranges

     

    Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
