• Senior Shift Manager Maintenance

    Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an open opportunity for a Senior Shift Manager Maintenance at our Dearborn Works location. This position will be supporting our Plant Services organization. The ideal Senior Shift Manager Maintenance will be able to direct a shift of employees while adhering to the company’s key values of Safety, Quality, Production, and Innovation.

     

    Summary of Responsibilities

     

    + Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans

    + Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practices

    + Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plans

    + Monitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular audits

    + Leads employees' training and performance review programs. Improves overall production, processes and services efficiency

    + Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Production supervisory experience within a heavy industrial environment required.

    + Strong leadership, negotiation, and communications skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in management, related field or equivalent experience required.

    + Experience managing in a union environment and/or in heavy industry preferred.
