    Job Description:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our team in Troy, Ohio. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role plays a key part in managing carrier relationships, resolving freight issues, including freight claims, and ensuring timely and accurate product deliveries. The Logistics Specialist will interact with manufacturing facilities, customer service, shipping/receiving and transportation departments. The selected candidate is self-motivated, solutions-focused, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Respond promptly to resolve shipment delays, transportation issues, or customer concerns

    + Analyze and optimize logistical processes, shipping routes, and cost-efficiency

    + Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams

    + Investigate, process, and report on freight claims and damaged goods

    + Coordinate logistics for trade shows

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transportation function

    + Take ownership of activities in collaboration with the business

    + Drive activities with the vendor base

    + Generate regular reports and insights related to freight performance and claims

    Minimum Qualifications

    + High school diploma; additional training or coursework in logistics is a plus

    + 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics-related role

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

    + Understanding of shipping/receiving documentation and general transportation workflows

    + Ability to manage projects independently and in a cross-functional team

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field

    + Familiarity with import documentation, HTS classification, and import regulations

    + Experience with ERP and/or Microsoft D365 ERP systems, and Logistics software platforms

    Compensation Information:

    The starting salary will be based on the experience of the selected candidate.

     

    $60,000-$68,000
