Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

The CMC Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure critical processes run effectively, achieving organizational goals and performance KPIs. This role involves implementing strategies to optimize the supply chain by coordinating activities with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions. The manager is tasked with resolving bottlenecks, monitoring suppliers and service providers for quality and performance, and assuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials to maintain industry-leading quality and customer service levels.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee a team of buyers, planners, and analysts.

+ Coach, develop, and mentor team members while continuously measuring their performance.

+ Build and monitor team metrics to facilitate continuous improvement.

+ Facilitate effective cross-functional communications and teamwork.

+ Support new product development and engineering projects.

+ Build, document, and refine supply chain processes in support of ISO 9001.

+ Identify, qualify, onboard, and monitor supplier performance.

+ Execute cost reduction and margin-enhancing activities, including make vs buy and outsourcing decisions.

+ Negotiate supplier agreements to achieve cost, quality, and scalability goals.

+ Build strong partnerships leading to mutual trust and accountability.

+ Serve as a subject matter expert on MRP system parameters and inventory stocking policies.

+ Collaborate with sales and product teams to update sales forecasts regularly.

+ Minimize disruptions to the production floor by ensuring a steady flow of materials.

+ Create a Master Production Schedule that balances customer demand.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve exceptional results.

+ Exceptional knowledge of MRP, planning systems, and Excel.

+ Proven inventory, procurement, and planning experience.

+ Ability to stay focused on strategic objectives while synthesizing large data sets.

+ Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and work effectively across all levels of the organization.

+ Manufacturing background is required.

+ Extensive user knowledge of ERP systems.

+ Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

+ Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management required.

+ APICS Certification is preferred.

+ 5-7 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for production planning, supplier management, and supervision of buyers.

+ A combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to the qualifications listed above that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Work Environment

Working conditions are in a normal office environment, production floor, and warehouse. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and stand; use the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 40 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lenses. This position requires long periods of time working at a computer, including phone work. The ability to travel is occasionally required. The work schedule is in office, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
