    Job Title: Human Resources Manager

    Job Description

    The Human Resources Manager is responsible for recruiting and maintaining staffing levels, managing performance management and training development initiatives, formulating and overseeing employee policies, advising staff and supervisors on performance management issues, overseeing employee benefit programs, and planning, coordinating, and implementing training programs. Additionally, the manager will manage the unit safety program, perform unit communication activities, and undertake other duties as directed.

    Responsibilities

    + Recruit and maintain staffing levels.

    + Manage all performance management and training development initiatives.

    + Formulate and oversee employee policies.

    + Advise staff and supervisors on performance management issues.

    + Oversee employee benefit programs.

    + Plan, coordinate, and implement training programs.

    + Manage unit safety program, including workers compensation administration.

    + Serve as the principal employee relations facilitator.

    + Perform unit communication activities.

    + Perform additional duties as directed, which may fall outside the core responsibilities.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in human resources, recruiting, payroll, employee benefits, and training instruction.

    + Proficiency in intermediate PC functions including spreadsheet formulas and functions, queries, tables, merges, and special reports.

    + Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Lotus, and the Internet.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business from an accredited college or university.

    + Six to eight years of related experience.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment for this position includes moderate noise levels, occasional exposure to dirt and dust, and conditions of high heat and humidity.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of West Des Moines, Iowa.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
