Our organization directs the commercial portfolio’s pricing, packaging, licensing, channel, and monetization strategies. We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer join our team.
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Monetization and Business Planning team, you will be responsible for improving operational efficiency by designing, building and maintaining automated solutions that impact how go-to-market decisions are made. Your automated solutions will drive product monetization timelines. You will become an integral part of how we scale Microsoft’s monetization strategy. You will develop your career, forge effective cross-functional relationships, take on progressively broader responsibilities, and establish yourself as a trusted strategic advisor. Responsibilities
+ Design and build secure, high-performance web applications and backend services that integrate workflow automation, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models).and data insights
+ Use Azure services, Power Platform, and modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver resilient, enterprise-grade applications.
+ Collaborates with business process improvement specialists, business planners, data scientists and engineers across multiple teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
+ Build, scale and maintain end-to-end workflows that remove manual bottlenecks in pricing, launch management & product performance measurement.
+ Share best practices, conduct design/code reviews, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
+ Identify emerging technologies (e.g., AI agents, orchestration patterns, low-code accelerators) and evaluate their applicability for improving pricing and launch workflows.
+ Champion observability, reliability, and maintainability of production systems through logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
+ Proactively engage with partner engineering, business, and operations teams to shape solution direction, clarify requirements, and resolve blockers across organizational boundaries.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ year of experience with proficiency in javascript frameworks such as TypeScript, React & Angular.
+ 3+ years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, working with cloud platforms (such as Azure, AWS, or GCP), and building data-driven applications.
+ 3+ years of experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery or Deployment) pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
+ 3+ years of experience with system design, software architecture, security, and performance optimization.
+ 2+ Year experience with business process automation.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, or Dynamics CRM.
+ Familiarity with AI/ML models (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models), including LLMs (large language models), and integrating them into production workflows.
+ Experience with Microsoft Fabric or other enterprise data analytics platforms.
+ Experience driving solutions through cross-team dependencies and handling ambiguous business requirements with minimal guidance.
+ Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers, review designs and code, and raise the technical bar across a team.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
