    POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Business Partner

     

    SHIFT HOURS: 8:00am to 5:00pm

    SALARY RANGE: $115,000 - $130,000

    JOB SUMMARY: The HRBP drives business strategy by translating the organizational goals into HR initiatives. The HRBP will establish a credible understanding of the business model, deploy capability to diagnose organizational needs and talent, consult with client groups on people strategies, develop and implement workforce planning, talent management, organization design and other human resource effectiveness strategies to improve business performance through people. The HRBP is a close advisor to LSI’s leadership team.

     

    REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director

     

    SUPERVISES: No

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Drives the implementation of the HR strategy in support of short and long-term business goals by building partnerships and alliances throughout the organization. May own one or more organization-wide programs.

    + Represents HR and is a strategic partner and trusted advisor to Executive Directors, Directors and management teams.

    + Creates, refines, and utilizes human resource analytical tools and metrics to inform business decisions.

    + Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

    + Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, career development, disciplinary actions).

    + Guides and influences staff, key managers and officers on HR matters to ensure effective and compliant solutions.

    + Monitors employee engagement levels and tracks trends in organizational health; collaborates with management and employees to drive innovation and employee engagement in order to improve individual and organizational performance.

    + Provides a full range of HR consulting services and problem-solving including employee relations; compensation and rewards; organizational design and development, EEO/AA, talent acquisition, and performance management.

    + Ensure that the total rewards/benefits and staffing solutions are completed and implemented effectively in partnership with HR Specialists (payroll [total rewards]/benefits, staffing),. This includes but is not limited to - succession planning, performance calibration, development planning, assessments, engagement survey follow-up, appropriate staffing levels, career fairs, total rewards implementation, and facilitation of leadership solutions.

    + Works with business leaders to anticipate staffing needs, collaborates with Talent Management Manager to look for proactive ways to find talent in the most cost-effective manner.

    + Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    + 8-10+ years experience in human resources, with demonstrated expertise in resolving complex employee relation issues.

    + Bachelors degree preferred, Masters degree a plus.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    + Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.

    + Demonstrated capability to provide thought leadership, effectively articulate his/her point of view and communicate with business relevance. Can readily establish credibility with others.

    + Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications – word, excel and powerpoint.

    + Client/customer focused, results orientation; collaboratively drives to solutions.

    + Self-starter with superb follow up and attention to detail; exceptional ability to manage day-to-day activities efficiently.

    + Excellent coaching and consulting skills.

    + Excellent client management and business literacy skills.

    + Strong conflict management skills.

    + Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues.

    + Manage multiple conflicting priorities.

    + Knowledge of ADP Preferred.

    + Ability to understand and mediate complex interpersonal issues and assist in identifying the appropriate resolution.

    + Flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.

    + Self-directed and motivated.

    + Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
