Business Support Analyst 1
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is seeking qualified candidates for the assignment of Business Support Analyst I, serving in the Program Management Office. Under supervision, the Business Support Analyst I assignment responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Providing high-level support for various projects, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions.
•Serving as liaison between stakeholders and technical staff in implementation and development of business process automation.
•Eliciting and documenting stakeholder business requirements.
•Coordinating and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
•Developing end-to-end process maps.
•Generating, analyzing, and distributing lobby management performance reports.
•Developing and distributing internal Manager’s Bulletins.
•Managing and monitoring end-to-end Change Requests.
•Traveling to various CSCs across the state in support of the agency's operational and customer service goals.
Competencies Needed:
• Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with senior and executive-level leaders.
• Ability to work well with different teams and stakeholders; build professional relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret business requirements for critical system changes.
• Ability to evaluate, understand and negotiate underlying stakeholder business objectives.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to independently research and analyze information and draw logical inferences and conclusions.
• Ability to exercise various latitudes of independent judgment
Minimum Qualifications:
• An associate degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience related to area of assignment.
Bachelor's degree in business or related fields from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of experience related to the area of assignment.
OR
• Bachelor's degree in business or related fields from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of experience related to the area of assignment.
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications above, also possess ANY of the following:
•At least two (2) years of experience issuing secure identification credentials to State of Georgia customers.
•At least one (1) year of experience eliciting and developing business requirements documentation for systems and/or business processes.
•At least two (2) years of experience planning and conducting meetings and/or presentations for senior level management.
