THE POSITION
Are you trustworthy, discreet, and detail-oriented? The First Family is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the Governor’s Residence. This role requires the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in residential or hospitality housekeeping and a commitment to excellence. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the daily cleanliness and order of the residence. Work involves cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, kitchen, and dining areas. You will have the opportunity to work cooperatively with other household staff to ensure efficient operations of the residence. When necessary, at the direction of the Staff Manager, you may also be called upon to prepare or assist with breakfast meals for family and guests. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
+ Sorting, laundering, and folding all clothing, bed, bath, and kitchen linens
+ Ironing clothing, napkins, and linens
+ Maintaining clothing in good condition by replacing buttons and making minor repairs when necessary
+ Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
+ Assisting with work in other areas throughout the residence at the discretion of the manager

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Note: This position is considered essential. You will be required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
+ Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may vary based on operational needs. Overtime is to be expected.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of experience in general housekeeping work and cooking on a family or residence basis;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
+ You must possess and maintain a valid non-commercial Class C Pennsylvania driver’s license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
+ This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
+ Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
+ Additional clearances may be required.
