The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of laboratory experience or an associates in a science related field and 1 year of laboratory experience. This position will not only support our Medical Center location but also our West Houston and Woodlands location on different days throughout the week. More will be learned in the interview process. The hours are Monday - Friday 10am-7pm.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Carry out lab duties that include purchasing, organization, EHS compliance and lab safety.
Responsible for major participation in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new platforms and assays.
Monitors and maintains supply inventory so that work flow is not negatively affected.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Education Preferred: Associate's degree.
Work experience required: Three years of medical or laboratory research experience. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.
