Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work with industry leading experts to execute design, analysis, modeling, simulation and testing/validation of innovative power electronics circuits and systems

• Strong background in any of those above domains, especially on high/medium voltage power electronics

• Collaborate with Engineers and Scientists from across the GE Vernova Advanced Research Center and GE Vernova business segments.

Required** **Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree program in Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines at an ABET accredited university.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

• Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0 scale.

Desired** **Characteristics:

• Strong background in high/medium voltage power converters

• Familiar with DC/DC converter topologies

• Familiar with wide-band gap devices

• Hands-on and experienced with prototype design and testing

• Strong dedication to a career in technology and passion for supporting and leading the energy transition.

• Excitement and enthusiasm for growing technical skills in any one or more technical areas listed above.

• Experience with modeling and simulation tools and/or laboratory equipment (preferably in medium/high voltage labs) used in relevant fields.

• Effective presentation and technical communication skills; ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.

The salary range for this position is 88,600.00 - 147,600.00 USD, annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This position will remain posted until at least October 5th 2025.
