This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the new Contract Controlling team.
Contract Controlling CoE is a newly established global team within the Cloud Controlling Center of Excellence, composed of experts in commercial, operations, controlling and other relevant fields. It is a new addition to the Strategic Financial Business Models Team – broadening the organization’s focus on complex Commit-to-Consume (C2C) deal handling by providing exceptional post contract execution knowledge, process insights & expertise. This team, jointly with SFBM, builds the foundation for a seamless handover of individual C2C deal information from their structuring phase to their post booking management of their consumption.
Members of Contract Controlling CoE will be tasked with supporting/developing/executing the technical needs for the most complex Commit-to-Consume deals, managing the development and implementation of consumption & adoption assets/processes of such contracts to maximize customer satisfaction and financial performance. Through close business partnering with key stakeholders in a cross-board-area set-up (CPIT, GFA, Customer Success, CS&D and S&O) they will ensure smooth handling of standard and non-standard C2C deal constructs.
With their collective end-to-end C2C experience, and in close collaboration with Strategic Financial Business Models, the team will support GFA in structuring best in breed consumption-based business models.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
+ Up- and Downstream focus of the Contract Controlling CoE team:
+ Establish productive and smooth working relationship of the team with all main key stakeholders (GFA: Contract Controlling, SFBM & Consumption Controlling; CS&D: RISE Enterprise Architects, Cloud Architects, Contract Delivery Managers; S&O: CP⁢ Customer Success: AEs) which allows the team to onboard, support & report C2C deal notions in the most effective and reliable way.
+ Organize & host a regular review meeting with key process owners’ stakeholders to review the process simplification and agree future needed improvements (External – Deloitte - and Internal stakeholders).
+ Ensure technical landscape readiness within C2C contracts scope of work in a timely and accurate way to guarantee consumption forecasts and comprehensive financial management.
+ Serve as a Finance Technical counterpart for Operations & Pricing in establishing new and improve existing consumption-based commercial business models
+ Closely collaborate with various areas in GFA on improving SAP understanding how non-standard C2C commercial & technical decisions impact deal processing, compliance, financial planning & forecasting.
+ Drive towards harmonization of the system landscape and E2E process handling across the entire C2C Private Portfolio.
+ Ensuring a regular upskilling of the team that allows them to keep up to date with the latest development in go-to-market, commercial, accounting and other financial & relevant non-financial areas.
+ Promote a “service mentality” within the team fostering strong business partnership between team and key stakeholders in the C2C environment.
+ Closely collaborate with various areas in Controlling on improving SAP understanding how commercial decisions impact financial planning & forecasting.
+ Stay curious and participate in regular upskilling training to keep up to date with the latest development in go-to-market, commercial, accounting and other financial & relevant non-financial areas.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
+ Strong thought leadership personality accompanied by high get-it-done mentality.
+ Extraordinary analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Desire to run processes end-to-end with focus on their constant improvement.
+ Business partnering orientation and natural mindset of bringing people together.
+ Strong understanding of C2C end-2-end (standard & non-standard) processes.
+ Broad network in various Finance, Commercial, Sales & Post-Sales global teams.
+ Agile leader with the strong ability to inspire team to do their best work.
+ University degree in Business Administration or comparable experience.
+ Knowledge of up- and downstream relevant tools for Private C2C (Quote Tool, Indicative Pricing File, Atlas, Fusion Excel, Fusion BTP).
+ Knowledge of SAP quoting systems – Harmony, CRM and MS office applications, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint.
+ Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.
WORK EXPERIENCE
+ At least 5-6 years of experience in different areas of Finance or relevant operational roles. Prior experience in Commercial teams, Contracting, Operations and / or Global Controlling is a prerequisite.
+ Proven record of successful stakeholder management.
+ Experience with working in a global team is a plus.

**Compensation Range Transparency** : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $45,900- $101,700 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
