About the role

As a **Test Automation Engineer** , you will make an impact by designing and executing robust automated testing strategies across web and mobile platforms. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering and Assurance team and work collaboratively with developers, product owners, and QA leads to ensure high-quality software delivery.

In this role, you will:

+ Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and RestAssured

+ Perform functional and non-functional testing across web and mobile applications

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure coverage

+ Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis

+ Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a **hybrid position requiring 4 days a week** in a client or Cognizant office in **Plano, TX** . What you need to have to be considered:

+ Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, and RestAssured

+ Strong understanding of functional and non-functional testing principles

+ Experience with SQL and MongoDB for test data validation

+ Proven ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate effectively

+ Excellent communication and documentation skills

These will help you stand out:

+ Experience in mobile testing (Android/iOS)

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration

+ Exposure to performance testing tools and techniques

+ Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments

+ ISTQB or equivalent certification
