Dual Language Teacher – 4th Grade
We are seeking a passionate and bilingual Dual Language Teacher to support 4th grade students in a dynamic and inclusive classroom setting. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a program that promotes academic excellence and bilingual proficiency through a thoughtfully structured instructional model.
About the Dual Language Program:
Our Dual Language Program serves students in grades K–5 and uses both English and Spanish as languages of instruction. Students receive literacy instruction in both languages, ensuring strong development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Instructional time is divided equally between English and Spanish, and students remain with the same cohort throughout their time in the program. Regular assessments in both languages help monitor progress in literacy and mathematics, supporting a well-rounded academic experience.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Deliver instruction in both English and Spanish aligned with curriculum standards
+ Create a classroom environment that supports learning, personal growth, and bilingual development
+ Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators to support student success
+ Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administration
+ Maintain effective classroom management and student engagement
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher (required)
+ Current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License with:
+ Endorsements in Elementary and/or Self-Contained General Education
+ ESL Endorsement (required)
+ At least one year of teaching experience (preferred)
+ Ability to read and implement instructional plans and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
+ Basic proficiency in mathematical concepts
+ Willingness to take direct responsibility for student safety and learning outcomes
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
