CTG is seeking to fill a Data Governance Consultant position for our client in Houston, TX.

**Duration:** 12 months

Duties:

+ Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.

+ Monitor data quality metrics and KPIs using Tableau dashboards to provide actionable insights and continuous improvement.

+ Manage metadata and data lineage through Alation or similar platforms to improve transparency and compliance.

+ Collaborate with data stewards, business analysts, and product owners to define data standards, ownership, and stewardship processes.

+ Conduct data profiling, validation, and remediation efforts to support business and regulatory objectives.

+ Utilize data quality monitoring and observability tools such as Bigeye to proactively identify and resolve data issues.

Skills:

+ Strong understanding of data governance practices including data quality, stewardship, lineage, and classification.

+ Proficiency in Tableau for building interactive dashboards tracking governance KPIs and data quality metrics.

+ Hands-on experience with Alation (or similar metadata tools) and Bigeye (or similar data quality platforms).

+ Advanced SQL skills for data profiling, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.

+ Competence in Excel and/or SAS for data validation, exploration, and remediation support.

+ Excellent collaboration and communication skills for engaging with cross-functional data stakeholders.

Experience:

+ 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles within enterprise environments.

+ Proven experience implementing or supporting data governance frameworks and related technologies.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
