Job Summary
The College of Education’s School of Kinesiology is seeking an **Academic Programs Administrator** to coordinate and oversee all aspects of academic programs and services within the department.
Essential Functions
+ Recruits and enrolls prospective students by advising the students and parents over the phone, online, or in person to provide information about Auburn’s admissions process, scholarship opportunities, academic programs, and educational and extra-curricular opportunities.
+ Recruits and enrolls a robust and well-rounded population of students by attending college fair programs, visiting high schools, participating in campus recruitment activities, and/or other recruitment activities. Presents admissions information sessions, assists with calls and email communication, walk-in appointments, and hosts off-campus student meetings.
+ Coordinates recruitment activities and programs and may coordinate/give campus tours. Participates in the graduate admissions process of students including, but not limited to, reviewing applications, scheduling admissions interviews, conducting admissions interviews, and recommending students for admission. Notifies applicants of admissions decisions and coordinates with the Graduate School, Registrar, and Student Financial Services as necessary.
+ Plans, designs, develops, executes, and/or manages strategies and programs for academic-related programs, groups, or services (may assist in this function rather than be solely responsible in the lower-level jobs of the family).
+ Assists program head with a variety of high-level administrative/professional program support responsibilities.
+ Coordinates program or service activities to ensure relevant guidelines, specifications, policy, and/or procedures are enforced and followed.
+ Provides information to and facilitates communication between administrators, faculty, staff, and students concerning programs/services.
+ Maintains relevant databases to ensure accurate and accessible records.
+ May coordinate and organize courses/classes to include activities such as student registration, room scheduling, and ensuring appropriate equipment is available.
+ Monitors budget and grant funding and ensures expenditures are within specifications and in line with spending projections; may research, write, submit, and/or administer grants and proposals for submission.
+ Prepares, reviews, and edits an assortment of communications through various media outlets.
+ Plans and implements the management of resource development activities.
+ May be responsible for training, assisting or assigning tasks to others. May provide input to performance reviews of other employees.

**Level II** : Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in project management or program administration.
**Level II** I: Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in project management or program administration.
