Job Description
The WIC Assistant is the welcoming face of the WIC team! You’ll help families access vital nutrition services by greeting participants, managing appointments, and keeping records accurate and confidential. This role plays a key part in creating a positive and supportive experience for every WIC participant while ensuring program quality and compliance.
What You’ll Do
+ Greet and assist participants with warmth and professionalism.
+ Schedule and manage appointments, calls, and daily clinic flow.
+ Collect and update participant information to determine eligibility and issue benefits.
+ Prepare paperwork, track follow-ups, and maintain accurate records.
+ Support WIC staff with program needs, training, and outreach.
+ Travel occasionally to other WIC sites for coverage.
+ Promote safety, inclusivity, and excellent service in every interaction.
Minimum Requirements
+ **High school diploma or equivalent**
+ **Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills**
+ **Commitment to confidentiality** and professionalism
+ **Ability to build rapport** with families and team members
+ **Basic computer literacy** for daily data entry
Preferred Qualifications
+ **Bilingual skills** a plus!
