Working closely with senior leadership, this position is responsible for managing the internal communication and activities that are designed to keep employees informed and engaged with company’s products, leadership, and values. Objectives may be accomplished through subordinate management. May be responsible for decisions that have a serious impact on outcomes, possibly effecting schedules and/or expenditure of time, resources and funds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Oversees and manages all communications including but not limited to mass and targeted communications, intranet content, TVs and posters/signage, employee engagement event activities, and interactions with leadership for GA-EMS, across all locations, as directed by Chief Operating Officer.
+ Participates in the development and modifies policies, procedures, and practices; ensures that activities are successfully implemented and meet overall objectives for the Employee Engagement and Communications team.
+ Participates with management in the development and implementation of annual and long-term strategic objectives for GA-EMS.
+ Identifies issues, recommends solutions and manages corrective action.
+ Represents the group or company as a primary contact with internal representatives; makes internal presentations as required.
+ Manages the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required management, professional, and technical talent.
+ Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
+ Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree in communications, business administration or related field and eleven or more years of progressive communications experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
+ Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of communication concepts, techniques and standards.
+ Must be able to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet established deadlines or milestones.
+ Must be customer focused and posses
+ The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex management and administrative issues.
+ Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees and to manage leadership expectations.
+ The ability to represent the company and serve as a spokesperson on external projects and/or programs; and strong computer skills.
+ Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
