    The Nuclear Technologies and Materials (NTM) Division is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to serve as Deputy Program Manager for a program focused on nuclear fuel fabrication and regulatory compliance. The selected candidate will assist in managing Firm-Fixed-Price and other types of contracts and will play a critical role in program execution, with a strong emphasis on meeting DOE and NRC regulatory requirements. This individual will work closely with the Program Manager, senior leadership, and internal teams to oversee all aspects of the program, including technical scope, regulatory adherence, budget control, and schedule performance.

     

    The Deputy Program Manager will also contribute to expanding GA-EMS capabilities in nuclear fuel fabrication, regulatory affairs, and nuclear systems for national security and commercial applications.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + **Program Execution** : Support the Program Manager in overseeing program execution, including monitoring technical progress, schedule adherence, and financial performance, with a focus on fuel fabrication and regulatory compliance.

    + **Regulatory Affairs** : Assist in ensuring compliance with DOE and NRC regulations, including documentation, reporting, and program approval processes.

    + **Customer Interface** : Collaborate with customers and regulatory agencies to meet program milestones and objectives while ensuring adherence to DOE and NRC requirements.

    + **Contract Scope Development** : Work with internal teams to develop the program scope of work, schedules, and budgets, particularly in areas related to nuclear fuel fabrication and regulatory affairs.

    + **Staffing Coordination:** Coordinate with resource managers and HR to ensure programs are staffed with personnel experienced in nuclear fuel fabrication, reactor operations, and regulatory compliance.

    + Procurement Support: Support preparation of procurement documentation and collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure timely placement of subcontracts and purchase orders for fuel fabrication and testing.

    + **Compliance Oversight** : Liaise with Security and Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliance with program, customer, and regulatory requirements.

    + **Internal Collaboration** : Coordinate with internal departments, including Manufacturing, Testing, Nuclear Materials, and Fuels, to align resources with program needs related to fuel fabrication.

    + **Program Reviews:** Assist in organizing and participating in regular program reviews and status meetings with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.

    + **Deliverables Management:** Contribute to the preparation and timely submission of contract deliverables, including regulatory compliance documentation.

    + **Issue Resolution:** Support the Program Manager in addressing escalated program issues, particularly those related to regulatory compliance, and help develop resolution strategies.

    + **Proposal Development:** Assist in the preparation of proposals for new and follow-on program opportunities, with a focus on nuclear fuel fabrication and regulatory affairs.

    + **Safety:** Promote and enforce a culture of safety by supporting adherence to workplace safety procedures and policies.

    Job Qualifications:

    + Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field as well as nine or more years of progressively complex program administration experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

    + At least four years of experience in project engineering and/or management, including taking projects from R&D to design to hardware delivery.

    + Working knowledge of nuclear principles, processes, and fuel fabrication.

    + Familiarity with DOE and NRC regulatory frameworks, processes, and approval procedures.

    + Effective communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a project team.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE or DoD Security Clearance.
