This role is ideal for someone who thrives on interpreting financial data, utilizing business information systems, working with clinical operations, and providing strategic insights that drive staffing decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Interpret Financial Data: Analyze and interpret salary and labor productivity data to support strategic decision-making.
+ Mentorship: Provide functional advice and training to other financial staff as well as operational leaders and administrative staff.
+ Data Analysis: Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes while becoming a subject matter expert in UPMC's Labor, Budgeting, and Productivity (LBP) business information system.
+ Advanced Reporting: Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
+ Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems.
+ Cost Studies: Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures with a focus on labor costs.
+ Budgeting and Controllership: Support finance staff from across the system during the annual budgeting process.

+ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems or related business field required.
+ Minimum of three years of related work experience required.
+ OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of related work experience.
+ Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required, and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPA/MBA preferred.
