Job Summary

Summary:

Provide customers with excellent customer service/hospitality. Operate various types of Audio/Visual equipment including, but not limited to analog and digital audio consoles, video switchers, wireless microphone systems, digital projectors, PA systems, consumer&studio video cameras, etc. Coordinate conference guest&business services for multipurpose conference rooms. Troubleshoot equipment and assist clients with conducting meetings in conference spaces.

AV Technician should also possess a deep understanding of audio/video signal flow and have experience with AV infrastructure such as Crestron and Extron based systems. Associates should also have a strong understanding and experience with Microsoft Teams Meeting and Town Hall functionality.

Associates must possess excellent communication skills; tact in working with professional peers from other departments and all subordinates; initiative and judgment involved in assisting with clients during events in resolving problems; make recommendations to customers/people involved; the ability to think quickly and accurately; be versed in all aspects of conference planning. A successful Technician will be a team player; have excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects; able to manage time with requirements and responsibilities while following process/procedures and the ability to handle last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include:

+ Analog&Digital signal flow – ability to understand line drawings and how each component functions.

+ Equipment Setup – ability to setup analog and digital mixers, digital projectors, display monitors, wireless microphones, PA Systems, video cameras.

+ Operation and assistance with events for Multipurpose Rooms, General Floor Conference Rooms, and all other meeting spaces.

+ Expected to be a subject matter expert relating to Microsoft Teams, including Teams Meeting and Teams Townhall.

+ Ability to control and explain the operation of AV infrastructure systems in multi-purpose rooms.

+ Manage general meeting experiences and expectations with customers.

+ Act as the technical expert and resource for team members.

+ Provide seamless management of events with high-touch customer service.

+ Ability to effectively and professionally work alongside various vendors.

+ Handle issues as they arise through the proper administrative channels.

+ Follow protocol during emergency situations.

+ Work with all departments to ensure all aspects of each function are covered.

+ Be well versed in Microsoft/Compass Group policies and procedures and provide excellent customer service while adhering to those policies.

+ Maintain clean and safe work environment; perform job safely.

+ Other duties as assigned by the Technical Services Manager, Sr. Technology Manager, Director of Operations, and Events Management.
