Responsibilities
The Operations Analyst ensures the stability, reliability, and continuity of Brightstar Lottery’s critical systems, with a specialized focus on CAT environments. This role supports both domestic and international operations by managing system releases, coordinating with install teams, and maintaining audit-ready documentation. The Analyst also plays a key role in training Operators, supporting off-hours operations, and facilitating knowledge transfer to uphold service level agreements and operational excellence
System & Release Management
+ Manage the processing of two critical CAT systems and ensure seamless integration with Production environments.
+ Create and execute install plans; coordinate with install teams during night releases.
+ Track software changes and approvals across QA, CAT, and Production environments.
Operational Support & Continuity
+ Provide 24/7 support for CAT and Production environments, including off-hours and high-impact release windows.
+ Respond to system emergencies to minimize downtime and financial risk.
+ Archive documentation for Operational and Change Management audit purposes.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
+ Train and support Operators on CAT system processing, release procedures, and ad hoc customer requests.
+ Deliver hands-on training and document operational procedures, checklists, and best practices.
+ Facilitate knowledge transfer from outgoing analysts to ensure continuity and reduce operational risk.
Project & Process Improvement
+ Collaborate with Project Managers, site leadership, and corporate support teams to meet operational project requirements.
+ Recommend improvements to operating systems, tools, and procedures.
+ Conduct operational reviews and contribute to Training Needs Analysis sessions.
Other duties as assigned to this role within the organization.
Qualifications
Required
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum 3 years of related experience in operations, systems support, or technical environments.
+ Proficiency in Unix, Linux, JBOSS, DB2, Telnet, Remote Desktop, and basic scripting.
+ Familiarity with proprietary environments such as Aurora, ES Suite, and ProSys.
+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
Preferred
+ Experience supporting lottery systems or regulated environments.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex system releases and coordinate cross-functional teams.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting salary range is _$40,887 - $115,000_ . The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles may be eligible for short-term incentive or other discretionary bonuses. More senior roles maybe eligible for long-term incentive bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
