Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a compassionate, skilled Special Education Teacher to lead a substantially separate classroom serving students in Pre-K through 1st grade with moderate to severe disabilities. This role is ideal for educators with strong experience in behavior support, discrete trial instruction, and collaborative service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting academic and social-emotional goals
• Integrate and reinforce skills from PT, OT, and speech therapy sessions
• Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and execute discrete trial programs
• Oversee daily data collection and monitor student progress toward skill mastery
• Coordinate with the BCBA to identify and advance next-step learning targets
• Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals during student non-compliance
• Modify lessons to meet diverse learning needs and physical accommodations
Classroom Environment
• Self-contained classroom with 1:1 paraprofessional support for each student
• Students may use wheelchairs and require substantial physical support
• Daily prep period and weekly collaboration time with service providers
• Strong emphasis on team-based instruction and therapeutic integration

Skills and Requirements
Qualifications
• Valid Special Education teaching license (DESE certification required)
• Proficiency in discrete trial teaching and behavior management
• Completion of relevant SPED exams
• Minimum 3 years' experience with students with moderate to severe disabilities • Bonus: Familiarity with AAC devices, alternative communication methods, and assistive technology
