    Job Description

    Join a leading utility client in South Houston as a Sourcing Specialist supporting the Transmission Contracting Services Team. Reporting to the Manager of Transmission Contracting Services, you’ll manage contracts across various stages with construction vendors and play a key role in long-range project planning and execution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage contracts from inception to execution, including renewals, scope of work, and budget tracking.

    • Monitor contract funds, timelines, and ensure accuracy across multiple projects.

    • Interpret and navigate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), especially for linear pipeline construction.

    • Support contractor scheduling using portfolio planning tools.

    • Assist in budgeting, resource tracking, and project readiness for field operations.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and execution

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.

     

    - Experience with MSA-based construction contracts and scope development (inception through execution of contracts)

     

    - 5–10 years of experience in sourcing or contract management within construction, utilities, or corporate operations.

     

    - Strong understanding of construction terminology and contract language.

     

    - Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio), especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, budgeting).

     

    - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a lead role. - Experience with COUPA for contract initiation, fund tracking, and invoice management.

     

    - Familiarity with SAP modules (PM, PP, MM, MRP, APO) or similar enterprise systems.
