Job Description
A client in the Nashville, TN area is seeking a Fund Analyst to join their team. The Fund Administration Analyst plays a key role in supporting a specialized team focused on Private Alternatives, including private equity, private credit, and private debt—which are more complex than traditional hedge funds. This role oversees activities related to pooled investment vehicles and ensures accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of fund-related data and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
-Oversee and review NAV calculations performed by service providers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
-Prepare for month-end and quarter-end cycles while managing ongoing requests for valuation data, financial statements, and tax reporting.
-Support jurisdictional tax and regulatory reporting requirements.
-Coordinate with external auditors and resolve audit queries.
-Respond to internal and external requests across departments including Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, Marketing, and Investor Relations.
-Manage multiple tasks in a non-regimented, fast-paced environment—strong multitasking and problem-solving skills are essential.
-Collaborate with business partners and contribute to process improvements, documentation, and training.
-Assist with special projects such as fund launches, liquidations, and data analysis.
-Work extensively in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, large data sets); familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
-Understand trial balance activities including income, expenses, fees, derivatives, currency impacts, and distributions.

Skills and Requirements
-2+ years of experience, ideally with a background in Private Equity or Private Credit.
-Strong understanding of NAV calculations from scratch.
-Regulatory reporting, tax reporting, financial reporting experience.
-Hands-on experience with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, large data sets).
-Ability to manage multiple requests across valuation, financial/tax info, and marketing materials—strong multitasking and organizational skills are key.
-Comfortable with unstructured environments and shifting priorities, especially around quarter-end.
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
-Local to Nashville, TN or open to relocating for a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite) - AI tools exposure
