McLarty Associates is seeking a bright, resourceful individual for a paid internship/fellowship in the Washington, DC area to support our Middle East and North Africa practice. This position will also lend support to our McLarty Media practice. We are seeking an individual who can work part-time (up to 20 hours/week) during the Spring semester. This position is expected to be in-person at our DC office.
Internship/graduate fellowship responsibilities generally include:
+ Conducting extensive research of public policy, international, and business issues;
+ Writing memos, compiling biographies, preparing presentations;
+ Monitoring regional news outlets;
+ Attending and reporting on speeches, panel discussions, and policy forums of interest to the firm and clients;
+ Assisting professional staff with general office and administrative support; and
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365, and other business applications and media platforms.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Ideal candidates for this position possess an understanding of Middle East and North Africa trends, politics, and economics and an interest in business and government relations. Specifically, applicants should have a robust background, demonstrated interest, and/or experience living or studying in the Gulf region. Proficiency in Arabic (reading, writing, speaking) is required.

Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current payrate for this internship is: $18/hr. This position is not benefits eligible.
