Peckham Inc. - Facilities Coordinator
SUMMARY
The Facilities Coordinator will work closely with the Facilities Manager in carrying out the daily operations for maintaining and improving the company’s physical properties. As a key member of the Facilities Team, the individual helps maintain the building as a safe, clean and healthy environment.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Coordinate Facilities Technician activities, work direction and support systems.
+ Assist managing the Facilities Service Request system, including receiving requests, assigning service requests, entering data and striving to meet the Teams SLA’s.
+ Supervises the Michigan Facilities Techs.
+ Provides training to personnel in proper methods, procedures and standards.
+ Works alongside Facilities Techs to accomplish service requests and assigned projects according to the service request system.
+ Coordinates the activities of vendors and contractors in minor capital improvement projects.
+ Maintains effective working relationships with Staff in assigned areas and with all facility users.
+ Responsible for monthly building assessment reports
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Assist in management of inventory system.
+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, reassemble equipment.
+ Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
+ Inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, perform weekly pump test on the fire suppression systems or perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
+ Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoist, saws, drills and wrenches, precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devises
+ Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs if necessary.
+ Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
+ Maintain safe and clean work environment.
+ Record type and cost maintenance or repair work.
+ Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders
+ Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards
+ Other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ This position has direct supervisory responsibility for both staff and team members.
+ Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values
+ Provide mentorship and coaching
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ At least five years of experience working in facilities positions
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, discretion and good judgement when dealing with sensitive situations, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work alone or with a team.
+ Basic knowledge of computers.
+ Must pass and maintain Federal background checks
+ Valid Michigan driver’s license
+ Forklift/scissor lift license
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
+ Ability to speak effectively before groups and communicate effectively to others.
+ Ability to compute units of measure, rate, percentage and interpret graphs.
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Chauffeur’s license or CDL endorsement

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
