We are looking for an enthusiastic Automated Process Equipment Engineer to become an integral part of our cutting-edge Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) team. In this role, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience while providing technical support for automated process equipment, ensuring it operates at peak performance, reliability, and safety.

Our CMP facilities are at the forefront of technology, featuring batch polymer manufacturing, film coating, and converting operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate with the Newark Automation and Process Control (A&PC) team to support our manufacturing plant operations.

    + Provide day-to-day technical support for automated process equipment, solving challenges related to robotics, vision systems, barcoding, and scanning equipment.

    + Play a vital role in executing capital projects, participating in design reviews, commissioning, and acceptance testing.

    + Contribute to Machine Risk Assessments (MRAs) and ensure compliance with DuPont S1M machine safety standards.

    + Collaborate with top-tier external vendors to support equipment upgrades, repairs, and qualifications

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, with coursework in robotics, machine vision, and automated inspection required. Master's degree is a plus.

    + 2+ years of experience in a discrete manufacturing environment, with a focus on automated and robotic equipment preferred.

    + Familiarity with robotics platforms such as KUKA, ABB, or Epson, along with integration experience with vision systems.

    + Programming experience with vision systems like LabVIEW, Cognex, or Keyence is a plus.

    + Awareness of Machine Risk Assessments and Performance Level calculations.

    + Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, with SolidWorks as a preferred tool.

    + Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

    + Knowledge of SQL databases is beneficial.

    + Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical fabrication.

    + Exceptional communication skills and a strong interpersonal approach.
