SUMMARY OF JOB

Responsible for processing telecommunications calls in a professional manor. Answers all calls from outside the hospital as well as internally and routes calls to proper destination. Responds to emergency/code calls expeditiously. Monitors all alarm systems under switchboard jurisdiction.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

+ High School graduate or equivalent.

+ Accurate typing skills (minimum of 30 wpm)

+ Must have computer skills and knowledge of basic word/internet/database info

+ Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills (speaks clearly and professional).

+ Excellent reading/comprehension skills.

+ 1-2 years Office, Telephone or Customer Service experience needed.

+ Prior Healthcare experience preferred.

+ Flexible schedule a plus as department is 24/7.

+ Must be available for every other weekend and various Holidays
