Soft Craft General Foreman

The working Soft Craft General Foreman will supervise in the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Must have Journeyman Soft Craft General Foreman experience.

+ Oversees and determines type of scaffold needed and how to properly instruct on how to install.

+ Oversight of transporting of tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.

+ Oversees the proper hoisting of scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.

+ Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.

+ Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

**Education** : no minimum education requirements.

**Experience:** 2-3 years of experience as a Journeyman Scaffold Builder; required.

Must pass pre-employment physical and background check, as condition of employment.
