    About the Role:

    Step into a pivotal Commissioning Specialist role with TAI, where you'll be the key to ensuring the smooth, on-time, and high-quality delivery of complex construction projects for clients in sectors like pharma, government, and mission critical. Leverage your commissioning experience and required CxA/BCxA certification to perform rigorous quality assurance, from reviewing designs and witnessing start-ups to executing functional performance testing.     Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:

    + Ensure all tasks related to task planning and scheduling, design and document reviews, document development, field observations/inspections, witnessing of start-ups and contractor tests, functional performance testing, quality assurance/quality controls, training verification and documentation, final reports, warranty inspections, validation assistance, and conducting commissioning meetings are adequately executed.

    + Review design documents, specifications, equipment submittals and shop drawings for functional capabilities, performance and monitoring capabilities and the ability of the systems to meet the design requirements.

    + Work alone as an owner’s representative to ensure means and methods of construction meet the design intent to technical requirements.

    + Interact with installing trade contractors and witness daily construction, start-ups, contractor testing, performance testing, document/track field inspections/observations & deficiencies and related reporting.

    + Prepare commissioning plans, schedules and documents. Provide experience writing equipment/system protocols, pre-functional and functional checklists will be expected.

    + Interact with installing contractors and manage/perform field execution of commissioning documents and generate field reports, punch lists, summary reports and final turnover packages; ETOPS and System Manuals.

    You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:

    + Minimum of 7 years of Commissioning experience with Total Building Commissioning of pharmaceutical, central plants, commercial, government, mission critical, and/or industrial facilities.

    + High school diploma or equivalent is required.

    + CxA from ACG and/or BCxA from ASHRAE is required

    + Experience in design, installation, programming and testing of Building Automation Systems, Testing and Balancing, or Mechanical equipment startup technician would also be beneficial for this position.

    + LEED Certification is beneficial.

    + General understanding of building systems across disciplines and fundamental knowledge in at least one discipline such as HVAC, plumbing, test and balance, energy management systems, electrical, lighting, instrumentation and controls, or building envelope systems.

    + Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.

    + Ability to combine personal judgment with a wide variety of data and information to implement commissioning criteria.

    + Ability to work well in a team environment, including carrying out appropriate follow-through with others, giving and receiving constructive feedback. Communicates well with clients, project partners and with individuals at all levels in the organization.

    + Ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments.

    + Ability to understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools.

    _Physical Requirements:_

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position as necessary to complete assigned tasks.

    + The person in this position needs to frequently (at least 50% of time or more) move about client’s facilities and offices to access equipment and complete tasks. This may include climbing ladders, accessing roofs, stairs, accessing confined spaces, walking around the plant, etc.

    + Consistently operate computers, calculator, copy machine, printer and other devices to efficiently complete tasks.

    + Ability to travel to multiple client sites.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    + Pay: $95,000-125,000 (based upon experience)

    + Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
